Clare Bates Congdon is Visiting Associate Professor of Computer Science at Bowdoin College. She has been teaching for nearly 20 years, at Bowdoin, Bryn Mawr, Colby, and the University of Southern Maine. She regularly teaches introductory-level courses, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and bioinformatics, and has sometimes taught robotics, user-centered design, and special-topics courses, such as complex systems, AI and games, and interactive art. Clare's research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Genetic Algorithms, and Complex Adaptive Systems. Clare also has a background in studio and graphic arts, and experience with user-centered design, computer graphics, and DHTML (HTML/Javascript).
